Senate Bill 850 is the State Senate's Republican proposed budget for 2009/2010. This bill passed the State Senate on May 7, 2009, and was then sent to the House Appropriations Committee. This bill cuts several key areas of education which will put a severe strain on local school districts. We are going to continue to watch the progression of this bill. House Bill 1416 is Govenor Rendell's proposed budget. This bill is also in the House Appropriations Committee.
