Senate Bill 850 is the State Senate's Republican proposed budget for 2009/2010. This bill passed the State Senate on May 7, 2009, and was then sent to the House Appropriations Committee. This bill cuts several key areas of education which will put a severe strain on local school districts. We are going to continue to watch the progression of this bill. If further action is required we will post that information here and send an email to all on our email list. Thank you for your help.
State Senator Lisa Baker's office has provided us with a summary of SB 850 if you would like to look it over and become more informed.
